New HR appointments at Uber, Mondelēz and more

Richard StoneRichard Stone, Director, Talent & Organisation Effectiveness- Asia, Middle East & Africa, Mondelēz International

Richard Stone was given a new portfolio at snack manufacturer Mondelēz International as the Director of Talent and Organisation Effectiveness overseeing Asia, Middle East and Africa.

He was most recently the company’s HR Director, Commercial, Corporate & Transformation, Asia-Pacific.

Prior to that, he was the HR Business Lead of Supply Chain Excellence for Asia-Pacific, where he was tasked with supply chain reinvention (SCR) and supply chain transformation.

In that role, his job included driving SCR from an HR perspective with a focus on increasing productivity in Integrated Supply Chain, and providing strategic leadership in the roll-out of High Performance Works Systems (HPWS), Integrated Lean Six Sigma (IL6S) and Organisational Pillar Leadership Capability across all manufacturing sites in Asia Pacific.

He has been at Mondelēz since September 2001, when it was still known as Kraft Foods. 

Anu AmbikaipalanAnu Ambikaipalan, Senior Employment Counsel, Asia-Pacific, Uber

Anu Ambikaipalan has been promoted to the role of Senior Employment Counsel for the Asia-Pacific region at transport technology company Uber from the role of Employment Counsel, effective August 2017.

In this role, she will advise on all of the company’s employment-related legal matters.

Prior to her time at Uber, she was a legal counsel at Australian telecommunications provider Telstra for its Southeast Asia operations.

There, she provided general legal and regulatory advice to Telstra's business across the region, including enterprise sales (contract drafting and negotiation), HR, privacy and data protection, mergers and acquisitions, products and marketing. 

Sam NeoSam Neo, Founder and Chief People Officer, People Mentality Inc

Sam Neo, who was previously an HR Business Partner at Changi Airport Group, has established People Mentality Inc, an HR gig platform set out to advocate a people-first mindset among leaders and organisations.

Besides Changi Airport Group, Neo possesses accelerated experience in other market leading companies like Keppel Corporation.

As an HR professional, he has taken on a diverse range of roles in areas of talent management, business partnership, talent acquisition, corporate social responsibility and staff engagement, among others.
