A survey by training and consulting company, UPMentors revealed that 67 per cent of organisations lack the time or the funds to invest sufficiently in training, according to HR magazine, UK.
The survey encompassed views from over 100 HR and IT managers.
Findings from the survey highlighted that a quarter of businesses favoured recruitment over training when it comes to solving skills shortages whereas 15 percent had difficulty identifying skills needs.
Julian Homes, co-founder of UPMentors stated employees are an essential part of an organisation and businesses that fail to invest in them “will fail to deliver business value from their IT systems, value which is essential to business survival in today’s economic climate."
