About Our Client
Our client is a European listed MNC in the travel industry. They have strong brand presence over in Europe and have been focusing their resources to penetrate the Asia Pacific region. With high growth in this region, they are looking to further their competitive advantage by being sustainable. Hence, they are currently looking for a Talent Director to be part of this journey.
This role has a significant impact on People Success in Asia Pacific. You will be responsible for the overarching strategy of talent and leadership, ensuring the talent bench-strength is adequately pipelined through a stringent and revitalized talent assessment/identification framework. One of the key areas which they need more focus on is the leadership development space; You will be involved in executive coaching and leadership development where you will hone the skillsets of current leaders and high potentials with the relevant soft-skills and mindsets that would enable them to succeed in their positions and help bring the organization closer to its business objectives. There is an existing global talent framework in place and would need this individual to extract and adapt the policies accordingly to the demands and needs in Asia. Digitalization is also one of the key areas of contemplation as they are looking to adapt to disruptive technologies and how best to ride on the bandwagon and turn it into a competitive advantage. Given the need to understand the business in various parts of Asia, they are looking for this individual to travel 50% of the time.
The Successful Applicant
Ideally, you possess a minimum of 15 years of Learning, Leadership & Talent Development experience, equipped with a degree in HR or its equivalence. This individual should be highly adept at executive coaching and setting up structured development plans for senior leaders. They need this individual to be highly consultative; have strong EQ, good listening and good questioning skills. They would require this candidate to be able to work in a fast-moving culture and someone who could be both strategic and hands-on. The successful candidate should have strong energy levels, is warm and have strong influencing and stakeholder management capabilities.
