WHAT IS THIS ROLE?
 
This is a newly created role to help support the Regional Talent & HR team and its operations for MWG APAC.  The main focus of this role is on establishing systems and processes to support recruitment efforts across the region, but will also be involved in HRIS systems as a whole including onboarding, performance management as well as others.  You will be assist in developing a regional talent acquisition strategy aligned with the business objectives.  The role also has responsibility for managing the applicants flowing through the regional HQ, including screening, assessment and connecting those who will move on through the process to the relevant in market contacts. 
 
Beyond recruitment and systems, you will also get exposure to, and be involved in, the entire Employee Life-Cycle, as it is a highly collaborative team and the opportunity to contribute to a variety of talent initiatives is large.  This role will report directly to the Regional Chief Talent Officer (RCTO).
 
This role requires someone with strong project management and organizational skills; someone who has experience with recruitment and an interest in expanding their knowledge around HRIS systems.  This role will interact with a diverse group of individuals across all levels of the organization as well as externally, and will require the person to have strong communication skills, both written and verbal.  The successful candidate will be someone who can work well within a team, but who does not need daily guidance and can also work well autonomously.
 
WHAT ARE THE REGIONAL TALENT PROJECT MANAGER’S RESPONSIBILITIES?
 
Recruitment:
  • Special regional recruitment projects – ‘SWAT’ team approach
  • Mapping of competitors
  • Determine and implement the appropriate sourcing strategy (including job-boards, traditional media advertisements, agencies, internal sources, etc.)
  • Work with and maintain strong relationships with third party placement agencies
  • Manage the posting and distribution of advertisements for regional roles
  • Support the Singapore office with Sr. recruitment
  • Develop graduate recruitment campaigns to attract the best candidates
  • Devise our campus outreach strategy and work with markets to engage with top universities around the region to strengthen MWG branding with their career centers and top professors
  • Arrange logistics of interviews
  • Develop strong relationships and liaise with hiring Managers and Team Leaders
  • Establish a system to track the performance of recruitment channels for improvements
  • Reporting and tracking of resourcing budgets and spends
  • Ensure sourcing and marketing strategies strengthen employment brand internally and externally
  • Execute sourcing via existing and emerging channels including pro-actively developing leads
  • Manage Mid & Junior Level Regional Recruitment:
    • Screen candidates who apply directly or through the Applicant Tracking System
    • Carry out telephone interviews

Systems:
  • Be responsible for all HRIS project management activities: including project reporting, project planning, risk identification, estimation, and other project documentation preparation for APAC
  • Closely follow projects schedules to ensure timely completion and within budget and with minimum defects
  • Manage the development & roll-out of the Regional Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Lead the development and implementation of the APAC careers site
  • Responsible for ATS maintenance strategy and implementation
  • Assist with the development & roll-out of APAC’s implementation of a global onboarding system and performance management system
    • Be the APAC point person with the external service provider in APAC
    • Be the APAC coordinator with all markets implementing the system
    • Be the APAC representative on the global implementation team
    • Be the master user for both systems within APAC to train new local in market users
 
Other Talent Initiatives:
  • Assist with developing the Internal Mobility policy and programs to help better facilitate movement throughout the organization
  • Manage the overall relocation process from end to end, to include immigration, temporary accommodation, flights and relocation of personal effects for all regional foreign/expat hires
  • Assist with performing Talent Audits regionally
  • Responsible for creation of contracts and offer letters for Regional hires
  • Responsible for all talent related paperwork and workflow throughout the region
  • Standardizing of workflows and talent processes in country- across the region

WHO ARE YOU?
 
To be successful in this role, you will either need to come in with the skills and experiences below, or be positioned to quickly master them:
 
  • 2-3 years relevant experience in talent acquisition at an in-house level or for an external recruiting firm with a proven track record of success
  • 2-3 years of project management experience, either in the area of HR or in any IT space
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Strong interest and experience with a variety of ERP/HRIS systems
  • Experience in international environments and experience in different markets and cultures would be a distinctive advantage
  • Ability to manage competing demands while being extremely adaptable
  • Ability to work in fast paced, multi-tasking environment under tight deadlines
  • Skilled in negotiation and decision making
  • Ability to influence stakeholders appropriately
  • Ability to work within the matrix environment
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Additional Asian language beneficial – Mandarin or Japanese would be highly valued
  • You will be resilient and have a strong sense of initiative on fitting in with the company culture, which is fun and hard working
  • Undergraduate Degree required
