Our client is a multi billion healthcare unit of a global conglomerate.  As a result of the rapid expansion in the SEA region, they are seeking a Regional Acquisition Leader (APAC / Asean) for the team.

 

The primary responsibility of the role is to develop and implement tailored recruitment solutions for all positions based in ASEAN region, which currently consists of Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines and Cambodia. This position will also be a key resource to support in enhancing the overall talent acquisition strategy and capability for the whole APAC region, which include Australia and New Zealand, ASEAN, Japan and Korea, as and when necessary.

 

Essential Responsibilities

Develop tailored recruitment solutions, incorporating industry benchmarking, targeted recruitment campaigns and lead direct sourcing strategies that speedily and cost effectively meet the hiring needs of a specific client group

  • Develop and maintain quality internal and external candidate pipeline, developing a database of 'top talent' and ensure existing talent within the organization is effectively used
  • Dedicate a significant amount of time to proactive recruitment - linking in with short- and long-term headcount plans in order to anticipate and deliver faster on future recruitment need of our business.
  • Gather specific customer needs related to recruitment and staffing and develop a strategic recruitment plan and a sustainable process to track metrics and accomplishments against plan
  • Support HR leadership through presentations, training, and data gathering to optimize and communicate the recruitment and staffing needs with emphasis on ensuring the right processes and procedures are in place
  • Market Employer Brand effectively, working to establish company as an ‘Employer of Choice’
  • Provide outstanding candidate & client care, nurturing candidates through the recruitment process & regularly communicating and managing client expectations
  • Identify, develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers to ensure they supply quality candidates. Ensure strategic use and develop cost effective contracts
  • Lead transformational projects to continue to build a world class talent acquisition organization, examples would include, tools and technology assessment, recruitment campaigns, quality of hire analysis, candidate experience life cycle, compliance auditing or training and development
  • Provide direction and consultation to the executive and senior management on strategic and emerging staffing trends.
  • Develop and maintain a network of contacts to help easily identify and source qualified talent through a variety of channels including Internet, cold calling, networking, resume databases, job advertisements, referrals and social networks.
  • Manage external resources, including recruiting firms.
  • Leverage the Applicant Tracking and Hiring Management System to manage the entire candidate process and to ensure optimal employment practices and compliance with government regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant Staffing/recruitment experience. Related Masters Degree is desired.
  • Previous experience with an in-house staffing model with a large multinational company, and comfortable working in a matrix organization with structured processes in place. 
  • Experience of using a broad range of sourcing techniques, including data mining, advertising, direct research, web etc
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work with people at all levels of organization and culturally adaptable.
  • Demonstrated team leadership, facilitation skills and development of team members.
  • Demonstrated strategic thought leadership, vision, and innovation to drive improved performance
  • Excellent interview and assessment skills
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • Must be able to work autonomously, be a team player, multitask and work on a large number of recruitment projects at the same time, without losing attention to detail and to customer service.
