This position is responsible for providing HR functional support – strategic and operational for the new MJN Manufacturing facility in Singapore. It will be a part of the plant leadership team as a business partner. 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide HR support to MJN Singapore Supply Center management staff and manufacturing employees
  • Responsible for establishing and operationalizing HR processes and operations in the newly created facility to ensure consistency with MJN HR Service Delivery model
  •  Responsible for all HR elements related to plant start-up needed to operationalize the plant per project timelines
  • Executes HR processes (i.e. staffing, training, on boarding, employee relations, policy administration, HR data management, etc) to support business objectives and enable management to make sound business and people decisions
  • Maintains a balanced perspective when dealing with employee related issues to ensure organizational justice and consistency with the MJN behaviors and values
  • Establishes trust and credibility with the workforce, being aware of business objectives and providing point of view that reflects the HR implications of business decisions
  • Supports Leadership Development processes and initiatives and fosters an environment that drives performance and career development and provides feedback and coaching to all employees
  • Influences management to make appropriate assessments of employee performance and potential and to develop and implement action plans
  • Supports recruitment strategies to attract top talent to support organizational growth and development 

  • Degree in Human Resources or related field required
  • Five years of HR generalist or board specialist experience, i.e. combination of employee relations, labor relations, org development, etc
  • Experience supporting a manufacturing facility in Singapore is required. Prior experience in plant start-up or expansion activities is desired
  • Operated within a complex, changing environment, preferably operations or manufacturing
  • Solid knowledge of employment law, policy administration, local best practices
  • Prior experience working with unionized workforce desirable
  • Experience providing Human Resource support to a client group
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of organizational design principles, operating culture, effective work styles and change management
