My client, a luxury goods retailer, is looking for an outstanding communications specialist to join their team.  The role, Employee Communications Specialist, will sit in the Regional HR department and will report to the Head of Learning and Development.  The role requires a creative, articulate and experienced candidate to assist in rolling out internal correspondence covering all HR matters and any business initiatives that fall under this category.
 
This is a newly created role and involves working with internal departments to identify key messages and communicate them effectively.  This includes the design and implementation of employee engagement initiatives, and the communication of them through varying platforms. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Researching policies
  • Conducting interviews
  • Liaising with some external key stakeholders
  • Covering FAQ’s & Talking points
  • Employee guidelines & handbooks
  • Drafting written communications
  • Creating communication materials
  • Identifying delivery channels
  • Creating and implementing internal communications guidelines
 
The role requires an experienced communications candidate, preferably with in-house experience.  Candidates should come from an HR background and be familiar with jargon and HR policies.  Excellent writing skills are required, and candidates should be confident communicators, capable of delivering presentations when required.  Additionally, candidates should be creative in their delivery of materials, and open to accepting change.  Understanding and relating to the culture of the organisation is a key challenge in this role and therefore candidates should demonstrate maturity in thought processes, the ability to work in a team as well as independently, and bring a collaborative approach to their work. 
 
As this role has a regional coverage, candidates should be proficient in both English and Mandarin.
