My client is a fast moving consumer luxury goods fashion retailer who have plans to expand across South East Asia over the next 18 months and currently this company have a requirement for a passionate HR Assistant Manager to perform a generalist HR function based in the Head Quarters for South East Asia.
The role
Working in this highly competitive market the war on talent is pretty high in this area. This is a newly created function where you will be coming up with innovative and creative ways to attract and search for talent into the business. You will also be conducting a HR Generalist function where you will be involved in staffing the newer stores across South East Asia. As a HR Generalist you will be working as a Business Partner to the store managers and be very involved in the business very closely. With direct reporting line to the HR Manager of South East Asia who is on a 2 years project to manage this process this role has the potential for the right person to be her successor.
Challenges
Ideally someone who is strong in staffing
Someone who is creative in this area as the market is very competitive
Going out to the market and reaching out to candidates – milk rounds, universities, fashion schools, attracting talent from Europe
This person will be involved in designing training programmes for trainees and graduates
You will be developing internal staff
Involved in succession planning and organisational development.
