Our client is a leading developer, manufacturer and trader of electric sensors and components for global automation industry with around 5000 workforce around the globe. More than 50% of them are located in Asia Pacific region with the manufacturing facilities in South East Asia. The company is expecting further stable growth and the Asian Region plays a very important role for the organization. The company has manufacturing facilities in Singapore, Indonesia and Vietnam as well as many sales offices across the Asia Pacific region.
Your mission and task:
Located in Singapore you are expected to manage and develop the HR process and operation for Asia Pacific Region for establishment of sustainable organization. This may include change and improvement activities as well as enrolling the global program in the HRM domain.
Your main responsibility is to understand and establish HR strategy for the region and manage its implementation in the daily operation. You will manage a team of around 9 and give guidance and advice to the regional HR professionals as well as to the business directors as competent partner for all HR matters. Contributing to the global organisation to realise positive organisational change would be also one of your core tasks.
You are an excellent HR generalist with wide range of experience in all HR management areas, such as organisational development, leadership development, establishment and management of HR policy in a manufacturing environment. You have professional working experiences of at least 10-15 years including 5-7 years in an international leading/managerial position. Being exposed and open-minded, proactive and positive, these are the key for this international management role providing practical and strategic support to the business directors in the region and to all workers. Candidates should bring some years of experience in working or living abroad in Asian countries and shall have working experience in an European organisation. Excellent command of English is mandatory; ideally you also speak further languages such as Mandarin, Indonesian, or German.
