Performance evaluations gone wrong

09 Dec 2011

The annual performance evaluation is no joke but some managers have decided to add some interesting comments on their reports that would have you laughing (unless you are on the receiving end). HRM gives you the top picks for some of the weirdest observations written on reviews.

Warning note: HR is urged not to pen or copy the following comments in their annual reviews

Top 10 funny evaluations:

  1. "A prime candidate for natural de-selection."
  2. “Since my last report, this employee has reached rock-bottom and has started to dig."
  3. “He would be out of his depth in a parking lot puddle."
  4. "Works well when under constant supervision when cornered like a rat in a trap."
  5. "This employee should go far, and the sooner he starts, the better."
  6. "I would not allow this employee to breed."
  7. "He would argue with a signpost."
  8. "He sets low personal standards and then consistently fails to achieve them."
  9. "He brings a lot of joy whenever he leaves the room."
  10. "If you see two people talking and one looks bored, he's the other one."

1) He has failed to achieve this year but at least he has maintained his consistency.
2) His attendence record last year is second only to not having anyone in the role.
