31 Mar 2009

Vietnam labour law provides that an employer is responsible for the provision of protective equipment and ensuring occupational safety and hygiene. The employer is legally responsible for the improvement of work conditions and workplace. Employers are required to provide safety and hygiene-related training, information and guidance to their employees. Various issued Circulars contain detailed safety and hygiene requirements applicable to particular occupations and jobs.

All labour accidents and professional diseases must be declared, investigated, recorded and periodically reported in accordance with the law.
