Taiwan labour laws contain extensive anti-discrimination obligations, prohibiting employment discrimination on grounds including race, class, language, beliefs, religion, political party, place of origin, place of birth, sex, sexual orientation, age, marital status, appearance, facial features, physical or mental disability or membership of a labour union.
Sexual harassment is also prohibited, and employers are required to actively take steps to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace. For employers hiring over 30 employees, measures for preventing and correcting sexual harassment, related complaint procedures and punishment measures must be established. All these measures mentioned above must be openly displayed in the workplace.
