Over 400 jobs up for grabs at Singapore's Marina Bay Sands
Singapore integrated resort Marina Bay Sands is offering some 430 positions at the STJobs Career & Development Fair on August 19 and 20.
These jobs range from guest-facing roles within the hospitality site’s hotel and food and beverage establishments, to security services.
At the event, jobseekers will also have the opportunity to speak to Marina Bay Sands’ talent acquisition team to learn more about the available positions and explore career opportunities within the organisation. Interested applicants may also submit their resumes on the spot.
“As a leading employer with one of the largest workforces in the hospitality industry, Marina Bay Sands offers a vibrant and dynamic working environment unmatched in the region,” says Chan Yit Foon, Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Marina Bay Sands, whose operations include a casino, museum, hotel and restaurants.
“We believe in empowering our employees to thrive in their roles, by providing training opportunities and a host of staff privileges to support work-life integration. We welcome candidates with a willingness to learn and passion to serve to join our family.”
In May, Chan told HRM Magazine in an exclusive interview that the company is committed to hiring and developing Singaporeans. Locals make up 60% of the tourist attraction’s workforce.
“We put in a lot of effort to work with various local government agencies and groups to hire locals,” said Chan, adding that the organisation also seeks out Singapore Armed Forces personnel who are transitioning between careers.
With a significant number of its hires being for customer-facing roles, service excellence is one of the key characteristics the group looks for in its potential recruits.
“As an integrated resort, in everything that we do, our mission is to bring people to our property and create unforgettable memories and the best experiences for them,” she added.
The STJobs Career & Development Fair, now in its sixth year, is organised by Singapore Press Holdings’ (SPH) online job portal STJobs. Admission is free.
