New HR roles at McCann Worldgroup, Pan Pacific, and more

Laura ChenLaura Chen, Chief Talent Officer, China, at McCann Worldgroup

Laura Chen has been appointed the Chief Talent Officer at advertising company McCann Worldgroup China.

Prior to this, Chen spent nearly six years at L'Oréal Group as the HR Director of the corporate division.

During that time, she drove organisational effectiveness by establishing the process of talent management, conducting position mapping/ salary and performance review, planning training budget, and enhancing workforce effectiveness.

She has over ten years’ experience in HR, and has received many internal awards for her efforts at various employers.  

Yee Deng TanTan Yee Deng, Vice President of HR, National University of Singapore

Tan Yee Deng has joined the National University of Singapore as Vice President of HR.

As the head of HR, she will oversee all of the institution’s staffing and talent management strategies.

With over 20 years of experience in management consulting and HR, Tan was most recently the senior director of HR at BMC Software.

She writes that she is skilled in HR Consulting, compensation and benefits, HR policies, organisational design and business management.

Catherine AngCatherine Ang, Director, Human Capital and Development, Pan Pacific Singapore

Catherine Ang is now the Director of Human Capital and Development at Pan Pacific Singapore.

Ang joins Pan Pacific from ParkRoyal on Kitchener Road, where she headed HR and Learning and Development in hotel operations and shared services.

This is Ang’s second stint at Pan Pacific Singapore, having spent three years there overseeing the function between 2011 and 2014.

Ang writes that her HR expertise lies in talent management, industrial relations, quality and process improvement, compensation and benefit, learning and development, resourcing, and system set up.
