New HR heads at Zanroo, Faro Technologies and more

HRM Asia highlights some of the latest promotions and job moves in the HR profession across the region.

Neena BhaskarNeena Bhaskar, Regional HR Director, Zanroo

Neena Bhaskar has joined Thai social media intelligence start-up Zanroo as its Regional HR Director based in Singapore.

Earlier this year, Zanroo closed a S$7.4 million Series A funding round. In her role, Bhaskar will support the business’ goal to be Thailand’s first unicorn – start-ups valued at over US$1 billion – by 2019.

Prior to this role, Bhaskar was the HR Business Partner for Asia-Pacific, Middle East, Africa and Latin America at pharmaceutical company Mundipharma, where she was involved with strakeholder management, business partnering, compensation management, talent acquisition.

She was also the firm’s Workday HR System Project Lead, having led the implementation of Workday HR system for Mundipharma’s emerging markets across 25 countries and five modules.

Synnette NgSynnette Ng, Head of HR at Mercatus

Synnette Ng was recently appointed the Head of HR at Mercatus Co-operative Limited, the real-estate arm of Singapore’s trade union confederation NTUC.

An industry veteran, Ng has over ten years’ HR and organisational development experience.

Prior to this role, she was the Head of Talent Development at Faro Technologies for the Asia-Pacific region. Even earlier than that, she was the HR Business Partner of the Global Travel Retail division at UK alcohol producer Diageo.

Larry TanLarry Tan, Team Leader, Talent Acquisition (Asia Pacific) at Faro Technologies

Larry Tan was promoted to the role of Team Leader for Talent Acquisition at 3D measurement technology solutions provider Faro Technologies earlier this year.

In this role, Tan will oversee the company’s recruitment needs for Asia Pacific, which includes Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, South Korea and Japan.

He first joined Faro Singapore in 2016 as its HR Business Partner for Talent Acquisition.

Prior to Faro, he was the Regional Talent Acquisition Lead at computer software company Intralinks Asia Pacific, where he oversaw internal recruitment for Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, Japan, Korea and India.
