New HR appointments at Lazada, Singapore Post and more

Here are some of this week's latest promotions and job moves within the HR industry.

Julie Ong, Regional People Partner, Customer Service & Customer Experience, Lazada Group

Effective April 2017, Ong has moved to the role of Regional People Partner, CS and CX for online retailer Lazada Group, from her previous appointment as the company’s Group Head of Talent Acquisition.

In her new role, Ong is responsible for participating in the development of the organisation's plans and programmes as a strategic partner, and translating the strategic and tactical business plans into HR strategic and operational plans, among others.

Prior to joining Lazada Group, she was the Talent Acquisition Manager at AXA Insurance.

Her earlier experiences include being in the talent acquisition team at companies like ABB, Schneider Electric and Standard Chartered Bank.

Dean Habbershaw-RossDean Habbershaw-Ross, Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition, Singapore Post Group

Habbershaw-Ross joined national mail delivery company Singapore Post Group in May 2017 as its Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition

He was previously Global manager of talent acquisition at logistics and supply chain company Goodpack since January 2016, where he led and managed its global recruitment activities.

Habbershaw-Ross says his core expertise is in the areas of learning and development, change management, management coaching and development, employment relations, payroll, recruitment and talent management and acquisition.

He has held strategic yet operational HR and talent acquisition roles in both public and private sectors.

Mausami AroraMausami Arora, Senior HR Business Partner, British American Tobacco

Arora will be promoted from the role of HR Manager to Senior HR Business Partner at British American Tobacco, effective June 2017.

As HR Business Partner for the company’s Asia Pacific Supply Chain Service Centre, Corporate Services & Regional Manufacturing, Arora’s objective was to co-create and drive its talent agenda along with executive leadership team. 

She also acted as a change manager, leading and driving an organisation-wide change agenda for HR Transformation in Singapore

She has more than 7 years’ HR experience across IT and FMCG industries, where she has been extensively involved with helping business leaders solve customer problems and maximise customer satisfaction by designing, leading and implementing a broad range of HR solutions to business problems.
